The purpose of this 3-day intensive program is to equip new and developing Behaviour Support Practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools required to deliver evidence-based behaviour support services under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Training Outcomes
Participants will learn to:
- Understand behaviour through a human rights and trauma-informed lens.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBA) and collect appropriate data.
- Develop interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Implement positive, proactive behaviour support strategies.
- Work in alignment with restrictive practices obligations (reporting, monitoring, fading).
- Produce documentation that meets NDIS audit requirements.
- Apply ethical decision-making, reflective practice, and ongoing professional supervision.
